Travelling

Nowadays travelling is a popular activity among people. It is very interesting to see new places, another towns and countries. People like travelling and they travel a lot. They can travel for pleasure or on business.

There are different methods of travelling. You can travel by plane, by ship, by train or by car. Some people travel on foot. You can go along little lanes where the fast car can’t go. You can wander through meadows, pass quite lakes and wonderful woods. Also you can see wild animals and flowers in the forest. You can feel the beauty of nature. But I think, it’s not a very comfortable way of traveling, because you can get tired very quickly.

I’m very fond of travelling and I prefer to travel by train. I think it’s very pleasant. Especially if you have a comfortable seat in a railway carriage you can have a splendid view of the countryside. If the journey is long, you can sleep and have a good rest. Moreover, I consider, big railway stations are quite excited places. There are crowds of people, the porters pull the luggage along the platforms, and hungry passengers hurry to the refreshment rooms.

Some people prefer to travel by plane. I can say it is, of course, comfortable and convenient method of travelling. And it is much quicker than any other method, but, I think, it’s more dangerous. Moreover nowadays there are a lot of accidents and plane wrecks.

For a change you can travel by ship. During such voyage you can enjoy the sea or the ocean. It’s very exciting to watch the rise and fall of waves, to feel the fresh wind and hear the cry of the seagulls. But everything will be pleasant on board if you are not sea-sick.

Tours by car are also very popular. The main advantage of this method is that you are quite independent. You don’t have to watch a timetable or buy any tickets. You can stop at any place you like and see sights at a short time. And you can drive in any direction.

I think that if you go abroad you should know foreign languages, because they can help you to communicate with people in a foreign country, and you will feel more comfortable.

TRAVELLING
There are many ways of spending holidays. Some people like going to the country, others prefer sitting at home and watching TV all day long. But more and more people travel. There are many reasons for travelling. Some people travel on business, others travel to visit their families, but most people travel to see the world and different countries.
There are also a lot of ways of travelling. People can travel by car, by plane, by ship, by train, by coach or on foot. Travelling by plane is the fastest way of travelling. This is the best way to get to a foreign country fast. Modern planes are comfortable and it is very nice to fly to the destination point.
The most comfortable way of travelling is by ship. Modern liners have everything to make people feel nice and comfortable. There are swimming-pools, bars, restaurants and even shops on board a modern liner. People enjoy spending time on the deck looking at the ocean and talking. Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful in the open sea. There are some disadvantages of travelling by ship. The main disadvantage is that travelling by ship is the most expensive way of travelling. Tickets cost a lot and some people cannot afford them. Some people can be sea-sick and this is another disadvantage.
Travelling by train is rather popular now, too. People go from one city to another by train if the distance between them is too big, or if they do not have a car. Modern trains are also rather comfortable and travelling by train is convenient and cheap.
Travelling by coach to Europe is rather cheap. There are special international tours by coach when you travel through several countries. Instead of one foreign country, you can see a few of them. However, it also has disadvantages. Some people feel sick in coaches and their trip can be spoilt. It is also not very comfortable to sleep on a seat. Sometimes tourists do not have enough time to see the sights of this or that city.
My favourite way of travelling is travelling by car. I think this is one of the most comfortable means of travelling. You can enjoy the view looking through the window and this way of travelling is rather fast. You can travel to different cities and towns of your native country and even abroad. In summer I like travelling on foot. This way of travelling is called hiking. I take a tent, backpacks, food and start walking. This kind of travelling is slow, but you spend a lot of time outside and you do not have to think about tickets. During such hikes, one can see a lot of interesting places and meet new people. It is so nice to sleep in a tent in the open air, too.
If you decide to travel by any means of transport you"ll have to prepare for the trip. If you travel by plane, train or ship, you have to book tickets beforehand. You can do this over the phone or in a travel agency. If you travel by plane, you have to be at the airport two hours before an international flight and one hour before a domestic flight. The officers will check your luggage and you will have to get though the passport control. When you go by train, it is easier, because you have to go through ticket control only.
Travelling is always nice. It gives you an opportunity to see foreigners and interesting places. I love travelling!

Travelling in my life

It’s a well-known fact that travelling plays a significant role in a modern life. Today in the 21 century it’s rather easy to travel to any point of our planet. If 50 years ago people even didn’t dream about spending a weekend in Paris or London, now it’s not a dream, it’s a reality. There are so many opportunities to travel. And I can say that it’s not very expensive to fly even by plane. You can choose ryanair airlines, for examples. They have cheap tickets.

As for me I like travelling. It doesn’t matter where to go. For me it’s a pleasure to travel anywhere. In the world there are so many marvellous places to visit. I think it’s boring just to live in one country and not travelling abroad. I had a unique chance to see some countries. When I was a child I travelled to the Ukraine and for the first time in my life I saw a fascinating sea. Then I saw many other countries and cities. I was in Luthuania, Poland, France etc. Each country has it’s own traditions and interesting places to see. Our country also has many sightseeing. There are a lot of tourists visiting our native country.

In conclusion, I want to say that travelling is my hobby. Some people like to collect something (postcards, stamps, coins etc), and I like to collect memories from different countries.

Что касается меня, я люблю путешествовать. И даже не имеет смысла, куда путешествовать. Для меня не важно куда ехать. В мире есть много прекрасных мест, которые можно посетить. Я думаю, скучно жить всегда в одной стране, не путешествуя за границу. У меня была уникальная возможность увидеть некоторые страны мира. Когда я был (а) маленьким (ой), я ездил (а) в Украину, и впервые в жизни увидел (а) чудесное море. Потом я видел (а) многие страны и города. Я был (а) в Литве, Польше, Франции и др. У каждой страны есть свои традиции и интересные места, которые стоит увидеть. В нашей стране также есть много достопримечательностей. Много туристов приезжает посмотреть нашу страну.

Modern life is impossible without travelling. Thousands of people travel every day either on business or for pleasure. They can travel by air, by rail, by sea or by road.

For some people there is nothing so exciting as traveling, and I’m not an exception. And I’m happy that I have traveled a lot and I hope that every my journey wasn’t the last one. First of all, the members of our family usually have long walks in the country. During such walks we see a lot of interesting places, sometimes we meet interesting people. It’s useful for all members of our family. At this time we don’t think about tickets and there is no need to hurry up.

Travelling by sea is very popular. Large ships and small river boats can visit foreign countries and different interesting places/

As a rule, I make new friends there during the trip. In the day-time with new friends we play volleyball, tennis, swim in the warm water of the sea. I like to sit on the beach watching the sea and enjoying the sunset. I’m fond of mountaineering. So I do a lot of climbing together with my friends. Time passes quickly and soon we have to make our way back. We return home sunburnt and full of impressions.

Sometimes I travel by ship. It’s wonderful to feel the deck of the ship under the feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in the face, hear the cry of the sea-gulls. Of course, the voyage isn’t exciting for those who are sea-sick.

But I repeat again — the cheapest and enjoyable way to travel — is walking the forest, country.
